An heirloom variety introduced in Illinois in the 1920s. Beautiful dark red fruits, sweet, solid and meaty. Fruits are smooth, free from cracks and seams, and, although large, ripen all the way through. Ideal for slicing and canning. This variety has excellent disease-resistance for an heirloom tomato.
