Artist Statement: I work with subjects from the land, animals, bones, plant life. I use them to create dynamic relationships, playing with balance and how the subjects interact with one another. I make these paintings because that is how I view the Midwest land around me: a delicate dance of life and death, one always informing the other. With use of powerful color and storytelling woven throughout I hope that you can take away some of the love that I have for the land and the life found within.
