Description: A slow growing, large shrub that blooms around the fourth of July. Like no other shrub, the large candles of white blooms can really be a show stopper. A wide variety of interesting pollinators visit this plant both day and night. Bottlebrush Buckeye needs moist, well drained soil in partial shade, though it does seem to do well in more sun as long as it is protected from the west, which is critical. The fruit are borne in early fall and are slightly smaller than other buckeyes.
