Artist Statement: I am a lifelong resident of McHenry County and got my start in photography in 1977. I believe that it's easy to take interesting photos in far flung places, but I think that it's more of a challenge to take pictures of places that are close to one's home. Due to our familiarity with such places, we tend to take their beauty for granted and overlook them.
I'm happy to share some examples of my photographs that were taken here in McHenry County, or from other Midwestern sites, with you tonight, and hope that you'll enjoy them!
