Exposure: Partial Sun-Shade Soil:Dry-medium Height: 6 inches Bloom: May
Notable Features: The dense clumps of fine green leaves take on a spherical shape, covered with ivory-green flower tufts in early spring. The soft, spherical appearance of this sedge belies its tough nature and adaptability to heat and drought. A wonderful naturalizer, Cedar Sedge is an excellent ground cover. In the wild this distinctive plant is found in wooded areas along Lake Michigan and often on limestone bluffs, making it a good candidate for planting between stones or pavers, in dry soils and semi-shade.
