Description: The Jack Oak is a naturally occurring hybrid of the white oak (Q. alba) and the swamp white oak (Q. bicolor). Massive spreading branches create a beautiful and hardy shade tree. Dark green to bluish green leaves with round lobes signify its white oak membership. Fall color can be reddish to dark red-purple. Site in moist, well-drained soil in full sun to light shade. Drought tolerant once established.
