Artist Statement: Alaska was the land of my birth and childhood, and I grew to love nature and art early on. “Running the woods” was how we grew up, both admiring and respecting the beauty of nature around us.
After a long art-teaching career, my love of watercolor has developed into a way to depict all the beauty that our world has to offer, including flora, fauna, earth and skies. My greatest satisfaction comes from painting nature for worthy causes, and “Art of the Land” surely qualifies!
