Description: A warrior sedge, great replacement for invasive reed canary grass and phragmites! Absolutely beautiful when massed together, this sedge will form a tight knit base that wards off invasive plants. A sedge that can tolerate early season flooding, but can also handle drying out in the summer. Running Marsh Sedge is colony forming from rhizomes and displays an attractive infloresence of light brown, papery scales after the seeds have dispersed. Carex sartwellii likes full sun and a range of moisture.
