Artist Statement: My photography seeks to capture the natural moments that easily pass unnoticed, but serve as a balm in a chaotic world. From expansive fields to roadside trees, my goal is not to document the things themselves, but the feeling they impart. Light, balance, wind, motion, stillness, and energy are my primary subjects. By highlighting our open spaces, forests, and nature conservancy, I seek to do my small part to answer the challenge of the adventurer Robert Swan: “The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.”
